Here is a feature of the Speedy Edit Tool that seems to be undocumented and that some people might have missed: To quickly change/replace a note or a chord with another, just position the cursor horizontally (vertically it doesn't matter) where you want to do the replace, hold down the new note or chord on your MIDI keyboard and press the Enter key. The new tone material will now replace the old one, but preserves the old rhythmical value.
